Who can claim the contribution to my Spousal RSP Account?

Only the Contributor can claim contributions to a spousal RSP.
The spouse or common-law partner contributing to the Spousal RSP will get a contribution receipt to claim the tax deduction. It's important to know that contributions to a Spousal RSP will only impact the Contributor's contribution room and not the Annuitant's.
