You’ll get your Client Card within 5–10 business days after opening your Tangerine Chequing Account. For security, your PIN will be mailed separately, and you should get it a few days after receiving your Card. How to activate:

If you’re on the Mobile Banking app, tap the three dots at the top right of the screen and select 'Manage Card'.
Follow the prompts, and you’re all set!

Your Client Card accesses funds in your Chequing Account and is used for ABM transactions and debit purchases. The Card includes Visa Debit, which means that in addition to using it for in-store debit purchases, you can use it to pay online and in-app where Visa is accepted. Paying with your Client Card means you’re using money already in your Chequing Account whereas a credit card purchase is done using funds the bank is essentially lending to you, and interest is applied if you don’t pay back that money by your payment due date.
If you know your Client Card is lost or stolen, then request a replacement Card. Here’s how:

If you’re on a mobile device, log in and select your Chequing Account, then tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of the screen. Then tap ‘Lock Card’ and follow the prompts from there.
Your Card can remain locked until 2 months past your expiry date. After this, the Card will automatically be cancelled and you’ll need to order a new one.
You won’t pay any fees for your daily chequing transactions using your Visa Debit Client Card in Canada. For other transactions, including international purchases, a fee may apply. View the complete list of Account fees.
The exchange rates for Visa Debit are set by the Visa network and determined on the date of your purchase. In addition, transactions in a foreign currency are subject to Tangerine’s Foreign Currency Conversion Fee. Learn more about our fees here.
If you’ve forgotten your PIN, here’s how to change it:
To reset it in the Mobile Banking app:
Step 1
Select your Chequing Account.
Step 2
Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of the screen, then tap ‘Manage Card’ and select ‘Change Card PIN’.
Step 3
You’ll need the CVV on the back of your Card.
Step 4
Once you’ve created a new PIN, the next step is to activate it by making a withdrawal or deposit at any ABM. An email will be sent to you with instructions.
Note: You can use a Scotiabank ABM for free. A non-Scotiabank ABM will work, but you’ll be charged a fee for that transaction.
To reset it in the Web:

Log in if you aren’t already and select your Chequing Account.
Step 2
Click ‘Manage Card’ and select ‘Change Card PIN’.
Step 3
You’ll need the CVV on the back of your Card, but you don’t have to remember your old PIN. Just follow the prompts.
Step 4
Once you’ve created a new PIN online, the next step is to activate it by making a withdrawal or deposit at any ABM. An email will be sent to you with instructions.

To reset it in the ABM:
If you know your current PIN, you can change it anytime at a Scotiabank ABM that supports PIN changes. Check our ABM Locator to confirm that the ABM shows ‘PIN Change Supported’. Then follow these steps to complete your PIN change:
Step 1
Insert your Client Card and enter your current Client Card PIN, then select your language.
Step 2
Go to ‘Settings’ near the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3
Select the Change PIN option and follow the prompts.
