How do I transfer my RRSP or RSP from another financial institution to Tangerine Investment Funds Limited?

To transfer an RSP from another institution to your Tangerine Investment Fund Account:

Step 1

Select your Tangerine RSP Investment Fund Account.

Step 2

Tap the 3 dots at the top of your screen, select 'Transfer RSP' and follow the prompts.

Make sure you have:

  • The external account number and plan number of the account you want to transfer from.
  • The other financial institution's address.

Note: If you don't have a Tangerine RSP Investment Fund Account, start by opening one.

To open a new Tangerine RSP Investment Account:

Step 1

Tap 'Accounts' at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Step 2

Scroll down to 'Explore our Products' and tap on Investments.

Step 3

Select RSP Investment Fund Account from the list and follow the prompts. After opening the account you’ll be asked how you’d like to fund your account. You can indicate there that you’ll be transferring funds from another financial institution.

To transfer an RSP from another institution to your Tangerine Investment Fund Account:

Step 1

Log in, if you aren't already and select your RSP Account.

Step 2

Click on ‘More Actions’ and select 'Transfer RSP' and follow the prompts.

Make sure you have:

  • The external account number and plan number of the account you want to transfer from.
  • The other financial institution's address.

Note: If you don't have a Tangerine RSP Investment Fund Account, start by opening one.

To open a new Tangerine RSP Investment Fund Account:

Step 1

Log in if you aren’t already and click on ‘My Tangerine’

Step 2

Scroll down and select ‘Open an Account’.

 

From the menu bar, choose ‘Investing’ and then select ‘RSP Investment Fund Account’ and follow the prompts. After opening the account, you'll be asked how you'd like to fund your Account. You can indicate there that you'll be transferring funds from another financial institution.
