October 3-7, 2016 is international Customer Service Week, a week dedicated to recognizing the importance of customer service and the people who support customers every single day.
Client focus is ingrained in Tangerine's culture. It's at the centre of everything we do, including our purpose, which is to help Canadians live better lives by making smart decisions with their money. So, of course, we couldn't pass up this opportunity to celebrate our dedicated team members who interact with Clients every day, providing them with exceptional service.
As Ian Cunningham, Tangerine's Chief Operating Officer, puts it: “It starts and ends with our Clients at Tangerine. Client centricity is part of our DNA, it's who we are. Tangerine employees who engage with Clients directly demonstrate that to the fullest, whether it's over the phone, by email, Secure Chat or at one of our Cafés, Pop-Up Locations or Kiosks. I couldn't be more proud of the people I get to work with."
Customer service is challenging and sometimes under-appreciated work. But, it can also be very rewarding work, especially in moments where you can make an impact on a Client's experience. We asked a number of Tangerine employees who interact with Clients to share their stories, and what motivates them to deliver the service they do.
