Why do I have to be a Client to get a Tangerine Children's Savings Account?

The Tangerine Children's Savings Account lets you, as the parent, set up and manage your child’s account. Because the account is available to all ages from newborns to teenagers, we ask that you have your own Tangerine account first. The Tangerine Children's Savings Account does not require an external link, so a personal account will mean you are set up for full banking before you begin to manage or monitor your child's account through your own personal Client Number. It also helps to be familiar with all the features and products that will become available to your child once they become adults.
