Got questions about the Pre-Authorized Payment Bonus Offer? We have the answers.

To qualify for the Pre-Authorized Payment Bonus Offer (the “Bonus”), you’ll need to set up at least one eligible recurring pre authorized payment (the “Eligible Payment”) of $50 from your Tangerine Chequing Account. The first Eligible Payment must be completed May 31, 2026. Then keep it going for three months in a row.

Make sure the remaining Eligible Payments are completed before July 31, 2026.

 

The Eligible Payment must be set up by the payee (the company you’re paying).

Transfers to other Tangerine Accounts (like a Credit Card or Savings Account), to accounts at other financial institutions, or to third party payment processors made directly from your Tangerine Accounts are not considered Eligible Payments.

Eligible Payments are pre authorized withdrawals set up from your Tangerine Chequing Account that are scheduled and taken automatically by the payee (the company you’re paying). Your payee will complete the setup on their end.

 

Examples of eligible payments include:

 

    • Mortgage payments

    • Utilities (Hydro, water, electricity, gas)

    • Insurance (home, property, auto, life)

    • Automobile Insurance Plan

    • Phone, internet, or cable bills

    • Property taxes

    • Rent or lease payments

    • Auto loan or auto lease/rent payments

    • Commercial auto payment

To set up an Eligible Payment, you’ll need to review with your payee (the company you’re paying). 

You can find your Tangerine Chequing Account details or void cheque by following the steps below:

 

Here's how in the app:

 

    1. Select your Tangerine Chequing Account and tap the 3 dots at the top of your screen

    2. Tap ‘Void Cheque’ and follow the prompts

    3. From there, you’ll be able to view your Account information or print a void cheque—perfect for setting up Eligible Payments with your payee.

    1. Log in if you aren't already, then click your Tangerine Chequing Account and select ‘Void Cheque’

    2. From there, you’ll be able to view your Account information or print a void cheque—perfect for setting up  Eligible Payments with your payee.
