Calgary Tangerine Wealth Event Contest Official Rules

The Calgary Tangerine Wealth Event Contest (the “Contest”) is brought to you by Tangerine Investments Funds Limited (“Tangerine” or “Sponsor”) with its head office located at 3389 Steeles Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario M2H 0A1. Contest is void in whole or part where prohibited by law. See Eligibility section below for further details. Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules (the “Rules”) (which may be amended by Tangerine from time to time in its sole discretion). All dollar amounts are in Canadian funds ($CDN) unless otherwise noted.

1. Contest Period:

The Contest will be held in person during the Calgary Tangerine Wealth Event taking place from 6:00pm to 7:30pm ABT on November 5, 2026 (the “Event”).

2. Eligibility:

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence as of the date of the Event, except employees of Tangerine or any of its affiliates (including Scotiabank^®) and those with whom such employees are domiciled, shareholders, their advertising and promotional agencies, agents, mandataries, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of such employees (“Contest Parties”).

3. How to Enter:

No purchase or new Account opening necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.

Participants can enter during the Event in one of the following ways (each an “Entry Method”):

(a) Method One – Entry by Booking an Advisor Appointment

Book an appointment with a Tangerine Advisor by scanning the appointment booking QR code presented at the Event. There is no obligation to open and fund and account to enter the contest or increase your odds of winning.

(b) Method Two – Entry Form, No Purchase Necessary

Participants can enter without using Method One by completing the entry form accessed by scanning the entry form QR code presented at the Event.

Limit of one (1) entry per person, regardless of the Entry Method. If it is discovered that an entrant has attempted to: (i) enter more than one (1) time; or (ii) use or attempt to use multiple names or identities to enter or otherwise participate in the Contest, then in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, the entrant may be disqualified from participation in the Contest. Use or attempted use of multiple identities, and/or any automated system to enter or otherwise participate in this Contest is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification.

Odds of winning the Prizes depend on the total number of entries received during the Event.

All entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity, age, residency, eligibility, account ownership, qualifying transactions and/or compliance with these Rules in a form acceptable to the Sponsor. Failure to provide such proof within the time prescribed by the Sponsor may result in disqualification.

4. Prizes:

During the Event, the following Prizes will be awarded (each a “Prize”):

Prize #1 - One (1) Prize of a trip to Lake Louise as described below will be awarded to one (1) winner. (approximate retail value of $8,000)

Prize #2 - Three (3) Prizes of a $500 Kananaskis Nordic Spa Voucher will each be awarded to one (1) winner. (total retail value of $1,500)

Prize #1 consists of a trip for the Winner and a guest to stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This includes round trip car transportation from the Winner’s home in Calgary to the hotel, three (3) nights of standard hotel accommodations (one double occupancy room) as determined by the Sponsor, a $1,000 spending money for meals accessible through gift/pre-paid card, and $500 in spa services for each the Winner and their guest accessible through electronic voucher.

Any difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value of the Prizes as taken will not be awarded.

The hotel accommodations are subject to availability and black-out periods. There are no trip deviations allowed (i.e. length of stay, number of guests, travel dates, etc.). All other costs and expenses associated with the Prize, including but not limited to, additional accommodations, additional meals or beverages, items of a personal nature, personal charges at the hotel, and any other expenses not specifically described as included in the Prize are the responsibility of the Winner and their guest. No change in travel arrangements can be made once the booking has been confirmed.

The Releasees (as defined in section 7 below) shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, substitutions, interruptions, postponements, rescheduling or modifications relating to any travel arrangements, accommodations, transportation, event, hospitality experience or other Prize component, regardless of how caused, including any acts or omissions of the hotel, venue operators, transportation providers, travel coordinators or other third-party service providers. The Sponsor shall not be responsible if any event, activity, hospitality experience, travel itinerary or other Prize component is postponed, delayed, modified, rescheduled or cancelled for any reason, and no reimbursement, compensation or substitution shall be provided except as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sponsor shall not be responsible for any lost, stolen or misplaced tickets, vouchers or similar Prize materials after delivery to the Winner. No reimbursement or additional compensation will be provided in connection with any such cancellation, postponement or modification.

The Winner’s guest must have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence prior to the trip unless the Winner is the parent or legal guardian of the minor guest.

By accepting a Prize, each Winner agrees that the Releasees (as defined in section 7 below) shall have no responsibility or liability if the Prize or any portion thereof does not meet the Winner's expectations or proves unsatisfactory, in whole or in part.

Approximate total retail value of all Prizes is $9,500.

There is a limit of one (1) Prize per entrant during the Event.

Except at the discretion of the Sponsor, Prizes are not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) and must be accepted as awarded. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize in whole or in part if all or any of the components of the Prize are unavailable for any reason, with another prize of equal or greater approximate value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor's sole discretion, a cash award. In the event that a Winner is unable to redeem any or all of any Prize due to reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, its employees, representatives, agents and all parties associated with this Contest, no compensation or substitution prize will be provided. Any costs or expenses incurred by the Winner in claiming or using any Prize except as described above will be the responsibility of the Winner. The characteristics and features of each Prize component, unless otherwise explicitly described above, are at the Sponsor’s sole discretion and are subject to change. The Sponsor reserves the right at any time to impose reasonable restrictions on the availability, use or redemption of any Prize or Prize component where required for legal, regulatory, operational, security or safety reasons.

If a Winner or their guest does not utilize any portion of a Prize, then such unused portion shall be forfeited in its entirety and no cash payment, substitution or other compensation shall be provided in lieu thereof.

5. Prize Draw and Winner Selection:

At the Event located at Fortuna’s Row – 318 3 St SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0C2, at around 7:45pm ABT four (4) potential Prize winners will be selected by random draw from among all eligible entries received in accordance with these Rules (as determined by the Sponsor at its sole discretion). Odds of being selected will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received by the Sponsor during the Event.

During the Event, as each selected potential Prize winner is drawn, the Sponsor or its designated representative will announce the name of the winner, who will need to be present when their name is announced. If a selected entrant is not present to identify themself when their name is announced, the Prize will be forfeited and the Sponsor will randomly select an alternate potential Prize winner from among the remaining eligible entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section will apply to the new selected entrant), and this process will continue until each potential Prize winner is identified.

Before being declared a confirmed Prize winner (a “Winner”), the selected potential Prize winner will be required to: (a) correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question; and (b) sign and return the Sponsor's declaration and release form, which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded; (iii) releases the Releasees (as defined in section 7 below) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest and any Prize; and (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of the Winner’s name, address (city and province), voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph, image or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor or their designees and assigns in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the Internet and grants to the Sponsor, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive licence to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use the material contained in the entry, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Contest or for any other reason and waives all moral rights in and to the Winner’s entry in favour of the Sponsor. If a selected potential Prize winner: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to return the properly executed release and other Contest documents; (c) can’t (or is unwilling to) accept their Prize as awarded for any reason; and/or (d) is not in compliance with these Rules, then they will be disqualified and will forfeit all rights to the Prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate potential Prize winner from among the remaining eligible entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section will apply to the new selected entrant), and this process may continue until a Winner has been successfully awarded the Prize or until the Sponsor terminates the Contest in accordance with these Rules, whichever happens first.

Any guest participating in a Prize may be required to execute and return a release of liability, publicity release and any other documentation reasonably required by the Sponsor prior to participating in the Prize. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of all or part of the applicable Prize.

If a Winner is subsequently determined to have provided false, misleading or inaccurate information, the Sponsor may require the Winner to return the Prize, any unused portion of the Prize and/or its value.

6. General Conditions:

Anyone determined by the Sponsor to be in violation of these Rules for any reason is subject to disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor at any time.

The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse an entry from any person whose eligibility is in question or who the Sponsor reasonably believes has violated these Rules or acted in a manner inconsistent with the spirit of the Contest.

The Sponsor reserves the right to investigate and verify an entrant's eligibility and compliance with these Rules. Any entrant who fails to cooperate with such investigation or verification may be disqualified in the Sponsor's sole discretion.

Without limiting the foregoing, the Sponsor shall not be liable for any failure, delay or inability to administer the Contest or award any Prize resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, public health emergency, war, terrorism, labour disruption, strike, lockout, governmental action, travel disruption, transportation interruption, venue cancellation or failure of third-party service providers.

By entering this Contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Rules, including all eligibility requirements and the decisions of the Sponsor and the independent judging organization, if any, which are final and binding without right of appeal on all matters relating to this Contest. Without limiting the foregoing, all decisions of the Sponsor regarding eligibility, verification, compliance with these Rules, prize claims and disqualification are final and binding without right of appeal.

All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Entries will not be acknowledged and no correspondence will be entered into except with potential Prize winners. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who fails to comply with these Rules or who makes any misrepresentation relating to the Contest, the Draw and redemption of the Prize.

By participating, entrants release (and each confirmed Winner agrees to cause their guest to release) and hold harmless the Sponsor and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, advertising and promotional agencies affiliated with this Contest, prize suppliers, participating establishments and any independent contest judges appointed by the Sponsor (collectively the “Releasees”) from any claims, actions, injury, loss, or damage of any kind, including, but not limited to, illness, personal injury or death, resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participating in this Contest or from the acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of any Prize or any portion thereof (including any travel/activity related thereto). This limitation of liability is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation): compensatory, direct, indirect, or consequential damages; loss of data, income or profit; loss of damage to property; and claims of third parties. By participating, entrants agree that the Releasees have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages) to persons or property resulting from the Contest, including the acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a Prize, or the merchandise for which it is redeemed (if applicable). Further, by participating in this Contest, entrants agree that the Releasees have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages) to persons or property resulting from (a) entry or participating in this Contest, including access and use of any website associated with this Contest or (b) any claims based on personality or privacy rights, defamation or merchandise delivery. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; therefore, such exclusions may not apply to Contest entrants.

The Sponsor won’t be responsible for any failure of email during the Contest or for any problems or technical malfunction of a telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email, online, or Internet entry to be received by the Sponsor. In addition, the Sponsor won’t be responsible for technical problems, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination of these including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material related to the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, suspend, extend or modify this Contest without notice, obligation or liability if in the Sponsor’s opinion there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, force majeure or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or integrity and proper play of the Contest, or for any other reason in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. In such case, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, not to award one or more Prizes if circumstances make it impractical, impossible or commercially unreasonable to do so.

Winning a Prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by third parties, and any entries or Prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified, or delayed will be void.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, if such an attempt is made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules.

If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account provided at time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access or online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

The Sponsor won’t be responsible in any way for the use of, or bear any liability whatsoever in any way attributable to, the Prizes awarded in this Contest or the events forming part of this Contest, including but not limited to typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, these Rules, the selection and announcement of the Winner or the distribution of the Prizes. The Releasees: (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Prize or any Prize component; and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty or condition.

The Sponsor reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, administrative, computer programming or operator errors at any time.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms of these Rules and the terms or statements contained in any short-form Contest rules and/or advertising materials, the terms and conditions of these Rules will prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

The Sponsor's failure to enforce any provision of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If any provision of these Rules is determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and shall be interpreted so as to best accomplish the original intent of the parties.

7. Privacy:

Personal information collected for this Contest will be handled in accordance with the Tangerine Privacy Code found at tangerine.ca. Except as otherwise set forth here, any personal information collected for this Contest will be collected, used and disclosed by the Sponsor solely for the purpose of managing and administering this Contest. By entering this Contest, the entrant consents to the Sponsor's collection, use and disclosure of the entrant's personal information in order to manage and administer this Contest.

8. Governing Law:

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Province of Ontario without regard to Ontario conflicts of law principles. All entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the Province of Ontario.
