Let’s put that degree to work

Tangerine is a great place to start your career. With lean teams and dynamic work assignments, get ready to experience best-in-class training, cross-functional projects and mentorship and coaching.

Velocity

Student Development Program for Interns and Co-ops

Inspire

Tangerine New Graduate Development Program

SOAR

New Graduate Experience for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples

You’re curious. We like that.

Velocity isn’t your average internship or co-op. It is a development program designed to accelerate growth through hands-on experiences, interactive workshops, and impactful events at Scotiabank and Tangerine.

What makes Velocity different?

While we offer a wide range of internships and co-op placements across our business lines, Velocity is a unique, enhanced experience for top-performing students who are ready to go further, faster.

Here’s how Velocity stands out:

• Career Development: Sharpen both your technical and soft skills through focused workshops, speaker events, and skill-building sessions.

• Leadership Exposure and Mentorship: You'll connect with a variety of leaders across Scotiabank and Tangerine and be paired with multiple mentors who offer support, guidance, and insight to help you navigate your career path.

• Community and Belonging: Velocity is rooted in connection. Whether it's through collaborative projects, volunteer initiatives, or networking opportunities, you'll be part of a vibrant and inclusive community that champions your growth.

Students in the Velocity program may be placed in a variety of business lines, such as Data & Analytics, Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications and more!

When browsing student job postings, look for "VELOCITY" in the job title. That's your signal that the role is part of our Velocity Development program.

If the title doesn’t include “VELOCITY,” it’s still a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and build your network—but it won’t include the cross-bank, career-mapping journey that VELOCITY offers.

Not every student opportunity is part of Velocity - and that’s okay! We also offer standalone internships and co-op placements across these same business lines. These roles are ideal for students looking to gain valuable experience and explore their interests in a specific area.

The Inspire Program is part of a collection of programs designed specifically for new graduates ready to start building their careers. Inspire is an 18-month, performance driven rotational program that develops Associates across Tangerine’s business lines.

Throughout three 6-month rotations, Associates gain exposure to different teams, explore areas that interest them most, and build a strong foundation of technical and professional skills. The program includes structured mentorship, workshops, and dedicated training and development opportunities to help Associates grow with confidence and prepare for future leadership roles in the Bank.

Does this sound like you?

• You’re a recent graduate ready to kickstart your career

• You’re curious, adaptable, and excited to explore different roles through rotations

• You’re a collaborative problem-solver who thrives in a fast paced environment

• You’re passionate about innovation and motivated to build meaningful technology

• You’re looking for mentorship, hands on experience, and opportunities to grow into a future leader at Tangerine

As an Inspire Associate, you’ll experience supportive mentorship, and opportunities to collaborate across teams. You’ll work on real projects, develop new skills, and build meaningful relationships with peers and leaders. Throughout the program, you’ll gain the confidence, insights, and experience you need to take your next steps, all while contributing to work that matters.

Aaniin, Boozhoo, Tân'si, Éy Swayel, Atelihai– greetings! We acknowledge that there are many other ways to greet and connect, so we invite you to share them with us when we come together!

Are you someone who identifies as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit and is currently approaching the completion of post-secondary education? If you answered yes to this question, then this opportunity may be just for you! SOAR is our tailored experience that enhances the associates & analysts onboarding within the TILT (Talent Incubators for Leaders of Tomorrow) program by providing a culturally welcoming and supportive environment.

Embracing a spirit of growth and learning, SOAR will support you for the first two years of full-time employment and offers additional one-on-one support and programming. Think of this experience like an Indigenous Student Services Center. This experience empowers you with additional skills, allowing you to thrive at Scotiabank and its subsidiaries.

Does this sound like you?

• You identify as First Nations, Inuit and Métis

• You’re interested in a variety of career opportunities within the financial industry

• You want to participate in cultural programming to reflect Indigenous ways of knowing and being

• You want to learn about various areas within Scotiabank

• You’re interested in having an impact with your community and peers

• You are in your final year of a certificate, diploma, undergraduate or graduate degree

At the beginning of your journey, Scotiabank's campus recruitment team will help connect your interests and skills into a suitable TILT program. Depending on which program aligns best with you, you will be welcomed into full-time employment, that includes various rotations within a specific line of business (Technology, Global Banking & Markets, Corporate Functions, etc.). You will have the support of program managers who will help you navigate the program through: peer networking, one-on-one mentorship, masterclass workshops, and lunch & learns.

While participating through your TILT program, SOAR offers additional opportunities to participate in cultural programming and initiatives. In addition, through the Indigenous Employee Network, and the Indigenous Inclusion Team you can make connections with other Indigenous People who work at Scotiabank and its subsidiaries. Therefore, after completion, you will not only get access to an enterprise-wide community but also deepen your ties to yourself, the program. Now, let’s begin to SOAR into your career!
