What is Business GIC

A Tangerine Business Guaranteed Investment (GIC) is a low-risk, secure investment where your funds are guaranteed and your interest rate is also guaranteed for the term of the Business GIC. At maturity, you’re guaranteed to get your principal sum back plus any interest earned. 

 

Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) offers a maximum protection for Business GIC deposits up to $100,000 per category.

Tangerine offers Business GICs with short terms like 30, 60 or 90 days, and longer terms like one or more years. Generally, the longer GIC term, the more interest you earn.
