How can I request for an amended tax receipt?

 

We can issue an amended tax receipt if a previous tax receipt needs to be corrected, or if an adjustment was made. Some examples of situations where you might need an amended tax receipt are: a recent correction or transaction reversal. An amended tax receipt needs to be filed along with the cancelled one to notify the Canada Revenue Agency of what changes occurred. If you believe a receipt has an incorrect amount, please call us at 1-888-826-4374.



It's important to know that, depending on the reason for your request, we may not be able to amend your tax receipt.


For example, we can't issue an amended tax receipt for a contribution to a registered Account (RSP/RIF/TFSA) that was meant for a non-registered Account (Tangerine Savings Account/Chequing Account), if you haven't notified us of this error within 30 days of the transaction.
