As part of the Tangerine Account opening process, Tangerine may ask you to provide personal information, such as your name, street address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you via Tangerine's Digital Identity Verification Service (the "Service"). We may also request a copy of your driver's license or other identifying documents ("ID").We use this information to confirm your identity during Tangerine Account opening, and for other purposes as described in the Tangerine Privacy Code.

When you submit a copy of your ID with a photo, we will also ask you to take a selfie ("Submitted Images"). When you do this, you authorize and instruct Tangerine, including any of its service providers, to use the Submitted Images for the purpose of confirming your identity, including by comparing your selfie to any photo on your ID that you provide to us. For applications that have been successfully completed, Tangerine will store a copy of any Submitted Images, for a period of up to 90 days for fraud prevention, after which time any copy of the Submitted Images will be securely disposed of by Tangerine. The Submitted Images for clients who have not successfully completed the enrollment process will be held for a period of up to one full business day, after which they will be securely disposed of by Tangerine.

To the extent that you request our support via a video call in connection with the Service, the video call will not be recorded; however, any personal information that you provide to us on the call may be recorded manually. For example, we may ask to see a copy of your ID on the video call, and we may record your ID type, number and expiry date. Any personal information that you provide on the video call will be handled in accordance with the Tangerine Privacy Code.
