You can apply for a Tangerine Mortgage at any time, but we recommend submitting your application at least 45 days before your renewal date. This gives you plenty of time to complete the process smoothly and ensures there’s no gap between your current mortgage and your new one.

When you apply, we’ll lock in your rate for up to 120 days from the date your application is submitted. That means if rates go up, you’re protected — and if they go down, you’ll still benefit from the lower rate. Applying early gives you peace of mind, more flexibility, and the confidence of knowing your Mortgage details are secured well before your renewal.
