I sent money by Interac e-transfer®. How do I cancel it?

You can only cancel your transfer before the recipient has accepted the funds. If your contact has Interac Autodeposit set up, the money is automatically deposited into their account and you won’t be able to cancel it. In that case, you’ll need to ask the recipient directly to send the money back.

To cancel:

Step 1

Tap your Chequing Account

Step 2

Tap the transfer from your transactions list

Step 3

Tap the ‘Cancel Transfer’ button and follow the prompts.

To cancel:

Log in and select your Chequing Account

Step 2

Click the transfer from your transactions list

Step 3

Hit the ‘Cancel Transfer’ button and follow the prompts.
