How can I withdraw foreign currency?

How can I withdraw foreign currency?

Within Canada
When in Canada, you can only withdraw Canadian funds from an ABM. (Note: If you're not using a Scotiabank® or Global ATM Alliance ABM, an 'Other ABM Withdrawals' fee may apply).

Outside of Canada
While travelling outside Canada, you can use your Client Card at any Plus or Global ATM Alliance network ABM to withdraw local currency. If you'd like to use your Client Card while you travel, it's best to call us and let us know before you leave home. The money will be withdrawn from your Chequing Account and will be exchanged based on the current exchange rate of the ABM you're using plus a Foreign Currency Conversion Fee. (Note: If you're not using a Global ATM Alliance ABM, an 'Other ABM Withdrawals' fee may apply and the ABM may charge additional fees).

P.S. Effective October 13, 2020, only our Chequing Accounts are accessible through your Client Card.
